An insurance company is suing, seeking subrogation after former employees allegedly stole its property.
Auto-Owners Insurance Co., as subrogee of Napleton's Northwestern Hyundai, filed a subrogation lawsuit Oct. 28 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against Michael Wulfers and Jovanie E. Romero.
The plaintiff says on Oct. 28, 2008, the defendants were employees of Napleton's Northwestern Hyundai at 5950 N. Western Ave. in Chicago.
The complaint states the defendants stole property from Napleton's Northwestern Hyundai, including 330 boxed catalytic converters.
Auto-Owners Insurance claims it spent large sums of money to reimburse Napleton's Northwestern Hyundai after the property was stolen.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in the amount of $86,546.06, plus interest and costs. The company is represented by Matek & Mazar LLC.
