Sawtooth Restaurant sued after man fractures wrist

A man is suing a restaurant after he was allegedly thrown out of the establishment by an employee and fractured his wrist.

Paul White filed a lawsuit Oct. 29 in Cook County Circuit Court against Sawtooth Restaurant LLC, doing business as Sawtooth Restaurant and Lounge, citing assault and battery and willful and wanton assault and battery.

White claims that he and his girlfriend were at the Sawtooth Restaurant, 1350 W. Randolph St. in Chicago on Jan. 1, when, while waiting to retrieve his coat from the coat check, was thrown out of the door by an employee, causing him to fracture his wrist.

White is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. He is being represented in the case by attorney Jeffrey S. Deutschman.
