Arthurine Ellis filed a lawsuit last month in the Cook County Circuit Court against Kass Management Services Inc. over an alleged bed bug infestation.
According to Ellis, sometime in September, his apartment at 1750 N. Ingleside in Chicago became infested by bed bugs. Ellis' suit against landlord includes counts for negligence, breach of implied warranty of habitability and nuisance.
He is seeking a sum in excess of $100,000, plus costs incurred due to the bed bugs, rent abatement and attorneys' fees. He is represented by Hall Adams of the Law Offices of Hall Adams in Chicago.
