Bertha Tellez filed suit Oct. 22 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Wal-Mart Stores Inc., doing business as Sam's Club, and Midwest Industries Inc., doing business as Americlean over a slip and fall incident.
According to the suit, Tellez was at the Sam's Club at 2601 S. Cicero Ave. in Cicero, when she fell and was injured. She accuses Sam's Club of negligently allowing its parking lot to be in and remain in an unsafe condition by allowing snow and ice to accumulate.
Tellez claims in her suit that she suffered great pain and injury, disability and disfigurement from the incident.
She is seeking damages in excess of jurisdictional limits and is being represented by The Santilla Law Group.
