A woman is suing village officials after a cable allegedly caused her to fall off her bicycle.
Olivia Dahl filed a lawsuit Oct. 30 in Cook County Circuit Court against the Village of Lombard, citing premises liability.
According to the complaint, the village owned, managed, operated and maintained a sidewalk or path, parkway and easement, including telephone and light poles, along a southern portion of 22nd Street in Lombard.
Dahl claims she was riding her bicycle on the sidewalk or path traveling westbound when she struck a cable that was protruding out onto the sidewalk from a pole on the grass parkway next to the sidewalk, causing her to fall and injure herself.
She is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is represented by The Law Offices of Steven J. Seidman.
