A man is suing area transit authorities over a trip and fall incident.
James Mueller filed suit Oct. 22 in the Cook County Circuit Court on Oct. 22 against the Northeast Illinois Regional Commuter Rail Road Corp., Regional Transportation Authority, Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation Authority, each doing business as Metra, and Union Pacific Railroad Co.
According to the suit, he was at the Metra station at 4963 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago in October of 2012, when he was injured after tripping over some debris and fell.
Mueller claims Metra failed to adequately laminate the stairway and maintain it in a reasonably safe condition.
He seeks to hold the defendants liable for his injuries and the medical expenses associated therewith.
Mueller is seeking more than $30,000 in damages is being represented by Chicago attorney Andrew J. Fink of the Solis Law Firm P.C.
