A woman is suing a management group and the Chicago Housing Authority over allegations she slipped and fell in a hallway.

Zenona Duffy filed a lawsuit Nov. 6 in Cook County Circuit Court against East Lake Management Group Inc. and Chicago Housing Authority, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Duffy sustained serious injury on Sept. 30, when she slipped and fell on a west substance on the floor of a common hallway area at the defendant-owned residential building at 2020 W. Schiller St. in Chicago.

Duffy claims the defendants allowed the substance to be present, failed to properly clean,  reasonably inspect, warn and barricade the dangerous area.

She is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional minimum and is being represented  by attorneys George G. Argionis and Al A. Koritsaris of Argionis & Associates LLC.
