A worker is suing after he allegedly sustained injuries while working at a construction site.
James Koprowski filed a lawsuit Oct. 28 in Cook
County Circuit Court against W.E. O'Neil Construction Co., citing construction negligence, failure to properly coordinate work and personal injury.
According to the complaint, Koprowski worked at a construction site where the defendant was in charge of the safety, coordinating the trades, the work and schedule.
On March 17, 2012, the suit states, Koprowski was instructed to install steel components and sustained serious injury while attempting his job duties.
He claims the defendants failed to provide a safe work place, failed to adequately monitor the project and improperly coordinated the project, which prevented the proper equipment from being used during the installation of the steel components.
Koprowski is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit. He is being represented in the case by attorney David C. Wise of Burke Wise Morrissey & Kaveny.
