Man sues Hawthorne Race Course after being beaten by a mob on premises

Byron G. Flores filed suit Nov. 18 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Hawthorne Race Course Inc. over allegations he sustained injuries while attending a concert there in November 2011.

According to the complaint, a mob of people beat up Flores at the venue. He is suing Hawthorne for failing to provide adequate security and controlling the premises.

Flores is seeking damages in excess of the minimum jurisdictional requirements and is being represented by attorney John F. Dziedziak.
