A woman is suing over claims she was bit by a dog.
Susan Nokes filed a lawsuit Nov. 15 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against Enrique Sandoval and Adriana Garcia, citing negligence and the Animal Control Act.
The plaintiff claims that on Aug. 20, she sustained serious injuries when the defendants' dog attacked and bit her while she was on the sidewalk in the 1800 block of Norfolk Avenue in Westchester. She contends the defendants were negligent for failing to keep their dog own their premises.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $30,000. She is being represented by Richard C. Gleason of O'Mara, Gleason, & O'Callaghan LLC.
