John D. Marks filed suit Nov. 27 in the Cook County Circuit Court James Cross, Novelyn Murphy, Ernie Saldivar and Michael Walton, claiming they embezzled more than $1 million dollars worth of cash and items, leading to his company's demise.
According to the suit, Marks founded JDM Infrastructure LLC in February 2001 and hired the defendants in various executive positions, including director of finance and vice president of sales.
Marks is now accusing the defendants of embezzling money from JDMI, which forced him to sell his company.
He is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. He is being represented by attorney Seth A. Stern.
