West Cook YMCA sued for negligence in slip and fall

A woman is suing after she slipped and fell at the YMCA.

Cynthia A. Jones filed a lawsuit Nov. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against West Cook Young Men's Christian Association's Inc., also known as West Cook YMCA, and some of its agents and employees, citing premises liability.

According to the complaint,  Jones was at the West Cook YMCA, 255 S. Marion St. in Oak Park on Dec. 11, 2011, when she slipped and fell on condensation and water near the entrance door to the pool area.

Jones is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit. She is being represented in the case by attorneys at Cuda Law Offices Ltd.
