Target facing lawsuit after customer slips

Target

A man is suing over claims he fell on a puddle in a Target bathroom.

William Robertson filed a lawsuit Dec. 3 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against Target Corp., citing negligence.

The plaintiff alleges he sustained serious injuries on Dec. 4, 2012, when he slipped and fell on a puddle of water in the bathroom at the defendant's store at 2701 Plainfield Road in Joliet.

He claims the defendant negligently managed the property, failed to maintain the bathroom and negligently failed to clean up spills.

The plaintiff is seeking more than $50,000 in damages, plus costs. He is being represented by the Law Office of Andrew S. Kryder LLC.
