A woman is suing over claims that she fell into a manhole.
Natasha Dagama filed a lawsuit Nov. 5 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against East Lake Management Group Inc., citing negligence.
Dagama alleges that she sustained serious injuries on May 1, when she fell into a manhole on the defendant's property at 411 W. Roscoe St., in Chicago.
The complaint states the manhole covering was ill-fitting and flipped out of place when the plaintiff stepped on the cover. Prior to the accident, the defendant performed construction, maintenance and repair work to the concrete around the manhole, the suit states.
Dagama is seeking damages and is being represented by Daniel S. Kirschner of Corboy & Demetrio PC.
