A woman is suing over claims she tripped and fell on the sidewalk outside of a restaurant in a shopping center.
Yue-Yeh Yang filed a lawsuit Dec. 9 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Really Nice Restaurants LLC and M3CVP-Clubhouse Oakbrook LLC, both of which do business as The Club House, as well as Oakbrook Shopping Center, GGP Oakbrook LLC, General Growth Management Inc. and General Growth Services Inc., citing negligence.
According to the complaint, the defendants owned, operated, managed and controlled a premises at 298 Oakbrook Center.
Yang claims she was walking on the sidewalk just to the right of the front entrance of The Clubhouse on Dec. 10, 2011, when she tripped and fell due to a depression in the sidewalk that allegedly created an unsafe and unreasonably dangerous tripping hazard.
She is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 for her injuries and is being represented in the case by attorney Brian R. Hecht of Richard F. Mallen & Associates Ltd.
