A woman is suing, claiming she slipped and fell while at a Chicago gas station.

Carmen Olmo filed a lawsuit Dec. 10 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Circle K Stores Inc., citing negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was lawfully on the defendant's premises at 7201 W. North Ave. in Chicago on Feb. 4, when she slipped and fell on an unnatural accumulation of ice and/or snow, sustaining injuries. The suit claims the defendant was careless and negligent.

Olmo is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by Emily J. Eckert of Eckert and Smestad LLC.
