By Whitney Brakken | Dec 18, 2013

A woman is suing over claims she was attacked by a dog, resulting in injury.

Ning Huang filed a lawsuit Dec. 9 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against George Kirkpatrick, citing the Animal Control Act and negligence.

According to the complaint, Huang sustained serious injuries on Dec. 12, 2011, when the defendant's dog attacked her while she walking near 2649 Lincolnwood Drive in Evanston.

Huang claims the defendant failed to keep his dog under control, failed to keep his dog a safe distance from the plaintiff, failed to properly leash the dog, allowed the dog to roam on the sidewalk or failed to exercise reasonable care for the plaintiff's safety.

The plaintiff is seeking damages and is represented by John J. Budin of Budin Law Offices.
