A local medical center is facing suit over claims it violated the Nursing Home Care Act.

Camille Ossey filed a lawsuit Nov. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against Wood Glen Pavilion LLC, doing business as Wood Glen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and formerly known as Wood Glen Nursing and Rehab Center, citing violations of the state's Nursing Home Care Act.

The plaintiff states she was a resident of the defendant's facility at 201 W. North Ave. in West Chicago from Nov. 22 until Nov. 24, 2011. While a resident, Ossey claims the defendant failed to properly care for her.

She is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented by Steven Levin and Jaime A. Koziol of Levin & Perconti.
