Woman slips on strawberry, sues grocery store

A woman is suing Mariano's Fresh Market in the Cook County Circuit Court after she allegedly slipped and fell over a strawberry.

According to the complaint, Georgian Plucinski was at the Mariano's at 333 E. Benton Place in Chicago on Aug. 3, when she slipped and fell on a strawberry on the floor near the entrance.

She accuses Mariano's of negligently maintaining its store.

Plucinski is seeking more than $50,000 and is being represented by attorney Daniel S. Kirschner.
