Woman slips at PNC Bank, lawsuit results

A woman is suing, claiming she slipped outside PNC Bank in Schaumburg.

Malgorzata Olszanska filed a lawsuit Dec. 10 in the Cook County Circuit Court against PNC Bank NA, PNC Financial Services, Heidner Property Management Co. Inc., Parkway Bank and Trust UAD April 20, 2000, known as Trust No. 12555, Heidner Family Limited Partnership, PNC Realty Services and PNC Realty Holding Corp. of Illinois, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was lawfully on PNC Bank's premises at 606 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg on Feb. 27, 2012, when she fell on an unnatural accumulation of ice or snow while walking on the sidewalk outside of the bank.

She claims the defendants were careless and negligent in their duty to keep the premises safe and to remove the unnatural accumulations of ice and/or snow.

Olszanska is seeking more than $30,000 in damages. She is being represented in the case by Nicholas V. Loizzi of Loizzi Law Offices LLC.
