A woman is suing over claims she was injured after a dog attack.
Isabel Gibson filed a lawsuit Dec. 11 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against Gregory M. Phillips and Ilona Leber, citing the Animal Control Act and negligence.
The complaint alleges that Gibson sustained serious injuries on Oct. 20, 2012, when the defendants' dog attacked and bit her while she walking on the sidewalk in front of the their residence on Peartree Lane in Arlington Heights.
She claims the defendants failed to monitor the dog, permitted a dog to be kept upon the premises they knew or should have known to be vicious, failed to prevent the dog from reaching the public sidewalk and allowed the dog to roam the premises and sidewalk.
Gibson is seeking damages in excess of the minimal jurisdictional amount. She is being represented by Scott H. Rudin and Lauren Levin of Miroballi, Durkin & Rudin LLC.
