A Cook County business is suing to enforce an arbitration award.
American Realty & Management Ltd. filed a complaint Dec. 11 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Aleksander Jakubowski, seeking to confirm an arbitration award and a motion for entry of judgment.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff and defendant had binding arbitration and an award was entered on Nov. 4, in favor of the plaintiff for the amount of $48,557.60 for money damages, $12,000 for attorneys' fees, $2,323.41 for expenses and $1,775 for fees and expenses.
The defendant has failed to pay the award, according to the complaint. American Realty & Management is seeking $63,331.01 in damages, plus court costs, interest and attorney's fees.
