Dog bites man, dog owner sued

A man is suing a dog owner over claims he was bit by the dog.

Mateusz Nosek filed a lawsuit Dec. 4 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Barthomie Debowski.

According to the complaint, Debowksi owned a dog named "Boss." Nosek says that on Sept. 8, 2012, while he was on a property at 3030 N. Osceola Ave. in Chicago, and with Debowski present, Boss bit him, causing injuries.

Nosek is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit. He is being represented in the case by attorneys Elizabeth A. Kaveny and David J. Rashid of Burke Wise Morrissey & Kaveny LLC.
