Parents are suing Cambridge School of Chicago, claiming it is unsafe for children and being mismanaged .
Keenan and Stephanie Saulter filed the suit Oct. 24 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the school, as well as Derek Barber, Dr. Pamela Nickson and Nikki Springfield.
According to the complaint, the Saulters sent two of their daughters to Cambridge School, which is located at 1014 E. 47th St. in Chicago. They claim they were very active at the Christian school before they had a falling out over conditions at the school and a certain teacher.
The Saulters assert in their suit that in October 2012, they found out that while their daughters attended the school, classes were conducted in a dingy basement containing broken glass, children were being struck by teachers and strangers wandered around the building.
They are suing for breach of contract, civil conspiracy, negligent hiring and negligent infliction of emotional distress. They are seeking more than $50,000 in damages and are represented by Chicago attorney Curtis J. Tarver.
