A man is suing after allegedly falling into a hole at a construction site while walking.
Antonio Martinez filed a lawsuit Oct. 9 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the city of Chicago, citing premises liability.
According to the complaint, the defendant owns property at 2102 S. Washtenaw Ave. that was under construction on Feb. 13, 2010, when Martinez fell into the depression and sustained injuries.
The plaintiff is suing the city, alleging it created a dangerous condition and failed to properly warn pedestrians of the depression he fell into.
Martinez is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs. He is being represented by the Law Office of Baltazar Mendoza.
