Henderson

A mother is suing after her son was allegedly shot and killed by a Chicago police officer.

Patricia Green, as special administrator of the Estate of Christian Green, filed a wrongful death lawsuit Dec. 12 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the City of Chicago and an unknown Chicago police officer.

The complaint states that Christian and others were standing at 58th Street and Michigan Avenue in Chicago on July 4, when they were approached by the Chicago Police.

Christian, according to the suit, began to run from police when unknown officer chased after him and shot him in the back, killing him. Green alleges Christian did not have any weapons at the time of the incident.

She is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit and is being represented by Victor P. Henderson and Mohammed G. Ahmed of Henderson Adam LLC.
