A woman is suing the city's transit authority over allegations she sustained injuries on a bus.
Tiffany Tucker filed a lawsuit July 29 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the Chicago Transit Authority, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Tucker was walking to her seat on a bus on Sept. 7, 2012, when the driver accelerated quickly and in a jerky way, causing her to slip and fall on the wet floor.
Tucker claims the CTA was negligent by and through its employee who failed to operate the bus in a safe manner.
She is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Scott D. DeSalvo.
