Woman sues store after slipping on ice

A woman is suing a store after sustaining injuries in a slip and fall incident.

Mary Turner filed a lawsuit Dec. 9 in the Cook County Circuit Court against National Shopping Plazas Inc., G&H Developers Corporation and Nandorf Inc., doing business as Unique Thrift Store, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Turner was walking across the parking lot at Unique Thrift Store on Dec. 9, 2011, when she slipped on a patch of ice and fell. The defendants are accused of negligence and failure to maintain the shopping plaza and parking lot.

Turner is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. She is being represented in the case by The Law Office of Marc D. Alberts P.C.
