Potato Creek Johnny's named in battery suit

A Glenview bar is being sued over claims a patron was struck while on its premises.

Bijan Ganjani filed a lawsuit Nov. 20 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against K-Ryan Ltd., doing business as Potato Creek Johnny's, Martin Karowsky, Justin A. Zabielski, Chicago Title Land Trust Co., as successor trustee to Lasalle National Trust, citing negligence, battery and the state's Dram Shop Act.

Ganjani alleges that he suffered serious injuries on Nov. 20, 2012 when he was struck by Zabielski at Potato Creek Johnny's at 1850 Waukegan Road in Glenview.

He claims Potato Creek Johnny's and Chicago Title Land Trust Co. are liable under the Dram Shop Act and taht Zabielski is liable for battery.

Ganjani is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by Mark G. Adler of Adler & Adler P.C.
