AT&T Illinois is suing Elk Grove Village for alleged damage to its underground cable.
AT&T filed the suit against the village on Jan. 2 in the Cook County Circuit Court.
According to the complaint, employees of Elk Grove Village dug into the ground to repair a leaking water main on Jan. 5, 2013, damaging underground AT&T-owned cables and interrupting service to subscribers.
The plaintiff claims it repaired the cable, but that the village is liable for the damage.
AT&T is seeking more than $90,000 in damages and being represented in the case by attorneys Todd L. Shivers and Thomas M. Gearhart.
