Przemyslaw and Natalia Wieronski filed suit in the Cook County Circuit Court against VIP Remington LLC, also known as VIP Remington Lakes LLC, Value Industrial Partners Inc. and Trigon International Corp.
According to the complaint, Przemyslaw Wieronski was hired by Trigon to perform demolition work on its building in November 2011. The building, at 999 Remington Blvd., in Bolingbrook, was allegedly owned by VIP Remington and subdivided into units, three of which belonged to Trigon.
The plaintiffs claim Trigon was acting as general contractor for the construction project despite not having a license.
The suit states Przemyslaw Wieronski was hurt when he fell about 12 feet to the ground after a ceiling beam supporting him collapsed. He is suing the defendants for negligence for failing to provide a safe work environment and Natalia Wieronski is suing for loss of consortium.
They are seeking more than $50,000 in damages and are being represented by Chicago attorneys Brustin and Lundblad Ltd.
