A woman is suing over claims she was injured when a parking lot elevator fell.
Lyuba Lisa Joseph filed a lawsuit Nov. 21 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against Mart Parc Garage and Schindler Elevator Inc., citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Joseph sustained serious injuries on Feb. 18, 2009 while in the elevator at the parking lot at Lake and North Franklin streets in Chicago. She claims the elevator quit operating and violently fell while she was inside.
Joseph is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is being represented by Chicago attorney Stephen J. McMullen.
