Man sues over dog attack

A man is suing over claims he was attacked and bitten by a dog, resulting in injury.

Angel Portillo filed a lawsuit Nov. 25 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against Beth Folsom and Mark Folsom, citing negligence and the Animal Control Act.

According to the suit, Portillo sustained serious injuries on Dec. 5, 2011, when the defendants' dog attacked and bit him while he was walking on South Bell Avenue in Chicago. He claims the defendants negligently breached their duty to take due care for the safety of other people.

Portillo is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and  is being represented by Edwin J. Hull III of Cutler & Hull.
