A woman is suing over allegations a doctor failed to timely diagnose her with breast cancer.
Nyeetra Glenn filed a lawsuit Dec. 12 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Ming Chung Chen and Access Community Health Network, citing medical and professional negligence.
The suit named Dr. Kalpana Singh, Sinai Health System and Mount Sinai Hospital as respondents in discovery.
According to the complaint, Glenn went to Access Community and was seen by Chen between Dec. 12, 2009 and Dec. 20, 2011, complaining of breast pain and noting the presence of lumps in her breast.
She claims that during that time period, she was a patient of Chen's and underwent numerous physical examinations, including one on Nov. 30, 2011, when Chen noted the plaintiff had a breast lump in her left breast.
The complaint states that Glenn underwent a left breast biopsy at Mount Sinai Hospital on Dec. 15, 2011 and on Dec. 20, was diagnosed with breast cancer.
