Manorcare of Palos Heights East sued for alleged violations of the Nursing Home Care Act

A local medical center is facing suit over claims it violated the Nursing Home Care Act.

Mary Karones filed a lawsuit Nov. 15 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Manorcare of Palos Heights IL LLC, doing business as Manorcare of Palos Heights East.

According to the complaint, Karones was admitted to the defendant's facility at 7850 W. College Drive in Palos Heights on Feb. 10. She claims the defendant failed to provide adequate medical care, resulting in her falling and sustaining a hip fracture.

The plaintiff is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by Matthew K. Henry of the Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates P.C.
