Chicago tour guide company faces suit following segway collision

Luke Scobie is suing Absolutely Chicago Gliding Tours for negligence after he was allegedly hit by an untrained segway operator during a tour.

According to Scobie's complaint, filed Jan. 10 in the Cook County Circuit Court, Absolutely Chicago is a company that provides paid, guided tours around Chicago on segway machines. Scobie says he was sitting on a park bench in Lincoln Park when one of the segway operators on the tour struck him.

Scobie is accusing Absolutely Chicago of negligently supervising and training the segway operators on the tour. He allegedly suffered injuries from the accident and now seeks monetary damages.

Scobie is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. He is being represented by Chicago attorney Colin H. Dunn.
