A woman is suing a Chicago Italian restaurant over allegations she fell on its stairs.
Angeline Imbrogno filed a lawsuit Nov. 25 in Cook County Circuit Court against Fiorentinos Inc., citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Imbrogno sustained serious injury on Oct. 25, 2012, when she slipped, tripped and fell on stairs at the defendant's property at 2901 N. Ashland Ave. in Chicago.
The plaintiff claims the stair treads changed angles at different locations, which caused a hazard. Imbrogno further alleges that the defendant failed to maintain and inspect the stairs, failed to warn patrons, failed to perform proper maintenance, failed to provide sufficient lighting and handrails on the stairs.
Imbrogno is seeking damages in excess of jurisdictional minimums and is being represented in the case by Mitchell B. Friedman of Morici, Figlioli & Associates.
