Lemon Tree Too sued after patrons strike another customer

A man is suing after sustaining injury at the hands of bar patrons.

Jose Lopez filed a lawsuit Jan. 16 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Hugo and Oscar Valdivia and Lemon Tree Too Inc.

According to the complaint, on March 14, Lopez was a patron at Lemon Tree Too when the Valdivias became intoxicated and struck the plaintiff with their fists and feet. The Valdivias are accused of negligently striking the plaintiff, and Lemon Tree Too is accused of violating the Dram Shop Act.

Lopez is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit, plus costs. He is being represented in the case by the Kevin J. McNamara Law Offices PC.
