An insurance agency and agent are facing suit over claims they failed to renew a residential insurance policy.
Feodor Isaac filed a lawsuit Nov. 19 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Ashur Abraham and Amp Assurance Service LLC, citing negligence, negligent misrepresentation and breach of contract.
According to the complaint, Isaac was insured or sought property insurance for a residential premises on Country Lane in Glenview and retained the defendants as his insurance producer in June 2012.
Isaac claims that between July 2, 2013 and July 4, 2013, theft occurred on the property. He contends that he after he notified the defendants, he discovered that they had not not renewed his insurance policy despite instructions to do so.
Isaac is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is being represented in the case by Charles R. Franklin and Julie C. Lerman of the Franklin Law Group in Northfield.
