A woman is suing her condominium association after she fell in a common area.
Catherine Collins filed a lawsuit Nov. 27 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Regal Chateaux Condominium Association and EPI Management Company LLC, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, the defendants owned, operated and maintained property at a condo complex at 13615 Royal Court in Crestwood, where Collins owned a unit.
Collins claims she was attempting to open the entry door in a common area of the complex on Nov. 20 when the door handle broke off from the door, causing her to fall and sustain injuries.
She is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is being represented in the case by attorney Timothy J. Cavanagh of Cavanagh Law Group.
