A woman is suing over a car collision that killed her husband.
Barbara McNamara, individually and as special administrator of the estate of John McNamara, filed a lawsuit Jan. 16 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Donald Sipe, citing negligence and wrongful death.
According to the complaint, on July 24, Sipe crossed the center line while driving west on U.S. Route 52 and struck a car John McNamara was driving, killing John and injuring Barbara.
She is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit and is being represented in the case by attorneys David A. Statham and Stephanie L. Hovanec of Newman, Boyer & Statham Ltd.
