Chicago tow company sued after pedestrian is injured

Scales

A Chicago man is suing a local towing company over allegations one of its drivers dragged him down the road.

Carlos Velazquez filed a lawsuit Jan. 14 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Dynamic Towing and Recovery Inc., claiming negligence.

According to the complaint, Velazquez was walking down 6303 W. 63rd St. in Chicago on Jan. 19, 2012, when a driver for Dynamic Towing and Recovery Inc. drove up next to him and the two engaged in a conversation.

When the driver left, Velazquez claims he became entangled in part of the tow truck, was dragged down the road and  became permanently disabled as a result of the incident.

Velazquez is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, including costs, and is being represented by attorneys at Polansky & Cichon.
