A woman is suing a condo association over claims she fell on ice.
Maria Ayala filed a lawsuit Dec. 2 in the Circuit Court of Cook County against One Renaissance Place Condominium Association, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Ayala sustained serious injuries on Jan. 18, 2012 when she slipped and fell on an unnatural accumulation of ice and snow covering an uneven surface while on the defendant's premises.
The plaintiff claims the defendant negligently permitted the premises to become and remain in an unsafe condition by allowing the uneven surface and ice accumulation, by failing to remove the dangerous condition and by failing to warn of the danger.
She is seeking more than $50,000 in damages, plus costs, and is being represented by attorneys at Vrdolyak Law Group LLC.
