Nusing home accused of negligence by resident's guardian

Pribyl

The guardian of a nursing home resident is suing over claims its negligence caused the resident to develop pressure ulcers.

Timeka Washington, on behalf of Eric Washington, filed a lawsuit Jan. 15 in the Cook County District Court against Glenshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre Ltd., citing negligence.

Washington claims the nursing home failed to properly care for Eric, who developed pressure ulcers that progressed to the stage of infection as a result of the defendant's negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, as well as court costs, and is being represented by David G. Pribyl of Dudley & Lake LLC.
