A nursing home is facing suit over claims it violated the Nursing Home Care Act.
Harold Diamond filed a lawsuit Jan. 21 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Manor Care of Naperville, doing business as Manorcare Health Services Naperville.
According to the complaint, Diamond was a resident at Manorcare, 200 Martin Ave. in Naperville, from July 19 to Aug. 3. He claims as a result of the defendants' violations of the Nursing Home Care Act, Diamond sustained injuries, which required him to undergo a cystoscopy, clot evacuation and fulguration of the bleeding site.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is being represented in the case by Margaret P. Battersby Black of Levin & Perconti.
