Tollway authority, others sued by man injured at interstate oasis

A man is suing over allegations he sustained injuries inside a Chicagoland interstate oasis.

David Kolasinski filed a lawsuit Jan. 24 in the Cook County Circuit Court against U.S. Equities Realty Inc., ABM Janitorial Services North Central Inc., ABM Janitorial Services Southeast LLC, ABM Lakeside Inc., ABM Industries Inc., Illinois State Toll Highway Authority, Starbucks Corp. and HMS Host Tollroads Inc.

The complaint states Kolasinski was at the Chicago Southland Lincoln Oasis on March 2, 2012 when he was injured after a brace, bar, pipe or other device fell and struck him.

He claims the defendants' committed wrongful acts, which caused his injury.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of jurisdictional minimum and is being represented in the case by attorney Timothy R. Ocasek of Cooney & Conway.
