Chicago club named in slip and fall lawsuit

Scales

A woman is suing over claims she sustained injuries as a result of an unsafe hallway at a Chicago nightclub.

Burnadette Campbell filed a lawsuit on Feb. 11 in the Cook County District Court against JAF Ltd., individually and doing business as Jeffery Pub, citing negligence.

Campbell claims she suffered injuries on Feb. 12, 2012, when she slipped and fell in the hallway of the club at 7041 S. Jeffery Blvd. in Chicago.

According to the suit, the hallway leading to the restroom had loose carpet, was uneven and poorly cared for, which caused Campbell to trip, fall and sustain multiple injuries.

Campbell is seeking damages in excess of jurisdictional minimum and court costs. She is being represented in the case by attorneys at Pope & Jaburek in Chicago.
