A father is suing a garbage company after a truck struck a vehicle and injured his son.

George Ruzzier filed the suit Feb. 7 on behalf of his wife, Tracey Ruzzier, and son, Trevor Ruzzier, in the Cook County Circuit Court against driver William A. Reynolds, Lakeshore Recycling Systems LLC and LWS Holdings LLC, doing business as Lakeshore Waste Services LLC, citing negligence.

The lawsuit states Tracey Ruzzier was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe on Route 83 with Trevor riding in the passenger seat on May 6, when Reynolds, a driver for the garbage company, rear-ended the Ruzzier vehicle with a 2011 Mack garbage truck, causing Trevor to sustain injuries.

Ruzzier is seeking damages within the jurisdictional limits of the court and is represented by Robert J. Bingle of Corboy & Demetrio P.C.
