A woman is suing over claims she was injured on the slippery floor of a movie theater.
Laura Osmanski filed a lawsuit Feb. 14 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Intercontinental Real Estate Corp., ABM Industries Inc. and American Multi-Cinema Inc., doing business as AMC River East 21, citing premises liability.
According to the complaint, Osmanski was a patron at AMC River East on East Illinois Street in Chicago on Jan. 25, 2013, when she slipped on a wet substance on the floor and was injured.
She claims the defendants -- the owners, lessee and maintenance agency for the premises-- failed to provide a safe premises or warn patrons of the dangerous condition.
Osmanski is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorneys Faustin A. Pipal Jr. and Dennis A. Berg of Pipal & Berg LLP.
