Target sued after shopper slips on wet floor

A woman is suing over claims she was injured on the slippery floor of a Target.

Holly Gorski filed a lawsuit Feb. 14 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Target Corporation, citing premises liability.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 8, 2012, Gorski was shopping at the Target on West Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg when she slipped on a slippery substance on the floor of an aisle and was injured. Target is accused of failing to provide a safe premises for patrons or warning the public of the dangerous condition.

Gorski is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. She is being represented in the case by attorney Jeffrey J. Tallis of Faklis & Tallis.
